Custom services are offered to meet specific, individual needs. The cost for photographs in this category is based on time charges plus expenses. Please call for an estimate on your specific job.

Classic Small Group Gemstone Photo Service

This is a budget pre-priced service used for photographing a small group of gemstones in my primary gemstone lighting set-up. This produces a good quality photograph with a specific "look" such as that shown in the photo above.

Special considerations:

For best results try to keep size, cut, and gem material similar. Mixing light and dark stones together tend to create problems.
Depth of field tends to limit the composition of a photo.

Because of the grouping of stones, it is almost impossible to get each stone to look its best. Appearance of an individual stone may have to be compromised in order to achieve the best photo of the group.

This is a digital camera service that produces a pleasing color match. This is not for those who need critical color rendition. More exact color rendition require photographing using transparency film, high quality 16 bit digitial scan of the film and final tweaking in Photoshop (if you have to ask the price you can't afford it).

This service will not only show the beauty of a gemstone, but will also show the flaws. It may accentuate poor cutting and/or other defects. For the best photograph, send the best gemstones.

Classic Single
Gemstone Photo

This service offers a good quality photograph of an individual gemstone. Most of the special conditions stated under the Classic Group Gemstone Service will also apply here.

Special considerations:

The gemstones are needed in the studio for 3 working days.
