I am now shooting high-resolution digital photography (14 megapixel - 4500 X 3000 pixels, about a 38 meg file in RGB) and delivered on CD. This is with a CMOS image chip that is giving much better results then I had gotten from the more common CCD chips. For working proceedure web site previews or email previews are available to approve the photos before I return the jewelry (you can "OK" the photos from your office, studio, or on the road, where ever you can get web access). Photos are generally colored corrected, ICC profiled and delivered in tiff format. Digital images are suitable for all types of printing (desktop or full offset), larger display prints, web site jpegs and for jury slides. Jury slides can be made from direct digital output so there is no duping quality loss. Full Photoshop retouching is available to correct flaws or to enhance the piece. Email or ftp delivery of images may be available in rush situations. | |
